The Secret To Successful Weight Management
Are you ready to manage your weight easily and naturally? I hope so, because I have news that you will love and it's much easier than you think! So, what's the secret?
First, realize that weight management is almost 100% psychological. Yes, it is what we think, what we assume and what we believe from past experiences. So think this through psychologically and apply it, and you will have permanent success!
Successful Weight Management ? Stage 2
- Never tell yourself you are going on a diet, and never go "on a diet"! Our society has been psychologically conditioned to see the word "diet" as deprivation and hunger, a short term process that will eventually end. Instead, establish a firm affirmation that you are achieving better health, not going to, but are! You are on that path and taking steps forward towards better nutrition for your body. You are succeeding!
- Make a list of foods that will keep you on that path to better health. Here are some guidelines and suggestions:
Breakfast - fresh seasonal fruit, whole grain cereals (cooked) with nut or soy milk, raw nuts (medium handful), sliced apples and raw almond butter (1 Tbs.), whole grain breads with or without honey. These are all low calorie, high nutrition suggestions.
Lunch - green salad including: a variety of greens, a variety of other chopped vegetables (bell pepper, carrots, cucumber, celery, etc.), sprouts (alfalfa, sunflower, lentil, radish, etc.), cooked beans (drained) or diced tofu, cooked whole grain cereals (brown rice, barley, quinoa, etc.) with a vinegar/oil dressing, preferably home-made with flax seed oil and water for the oil content. Or take the above suggestions for the salad and use as a filling for a veggie burrito or pita sandwich. This is a very nutritious, satisfying lunch.
Dinner - nice green salad (note above suggestions possibly made more simply) or fresh cut vegetables (or both - veggies as the appetizer for those who want to nibble beforehand), cooked legumes, cooked whole grains, sprouted grains and legumes, baked potato or sweet potato, baked squash, etc. Keep in mind with the above suggestions that in Central and South America they eat pinto beans, black beans or navy beans and rice or corn for most every meal; in Asia, they eat soybeans (tofu, sweet soy beans, etc.) and rice for most of their meals; in the Middle East its garbanzo beans and pita bread, and so forth. Discover the world of beans and grains which are high in nutrition and naturally low in calories. It's filling, it's satisfying to the body!
Snacks - honestly, first drink a 16 oz. glass of water. Still hungry? Fresh fruit and/or a few raw nuts are very satisfying! If you feel you need a desert, try a few raw almonds (no fruits). Raw nuts are high in protein and nutrition, and are good for you - just don't over do.
- There is a lot you can eat that's high in nutrition and low in calories. Focus on what you can eat and forget about the things that are high in calories, low in nutrition and not good for you. Don't regret for a moment not being able to have something that's not good for you. Focus on the "can haves"! You can have lots and lots of wonderful foods that are good for you. Discover all the great foods your body is aching to have - permanently - forever!
- Don't forget the cleansing too. Drink lots of water - half your body weight in ounces of water a day. Drink more if needed, but drink lots of water.
You can do it! You are succeeding! Believe it, and you will succeed!
To a Healthier Lifestyle,
Erleen

Food for Thought: Consider The Animals!
|
|
Driving past farms and pastures, do you ever remember seeing a fat horse? Ever seen a fat cow in a western? No? Ever wonder why?
Let?s start with what they eat. First the food is easily digestible, they are low calorie greens. The food is full of fiber and nutrition. It?s satisfying. It?s earth-produced living food!
We could nibble all day too and not gain an ounce if that's what we nibbled on. Consider the foods you eat, are they high in nutrition and fiber, satisfying, easily digestible, living foods? Think about it!
Here's a second reason, ever seen a cow sitting behind a monitor all day typing? Was that horse playing video games? With the exception of Mr. Ed, not likely. What do they do? They walk around all day getting exercise, drinking fresh water and enjoying nature.
Not a bad recipe for health!
